Freemasonry in Flint, North Wales

 • Queen Elizabeth Court  •

Flint Lodge members with some of the residents

On Tuesday 4th October 2005 fourteen members of Flint Lodge paid their customary October visit to Queen Elizabeth Court to spend an evening with the Brethren resident there.

On this occasion we took advantage of the visit to rehearse the work for our October Lodge meeting, a demonstration of a Third Degree charge known as 'The Walking Charge' or 'On Yonder Book'.

We were a little apprehensive because of the accumulated years of Masonic experience of the Brethren listening to our presentation, but the evening was judged a great success.

Afterwards we met in the Shropshire Lounge to spend some time socialising and renewing old acquaintances. The staff at Queen Elizabeth Court kindly provided light refreshments, and we started on the journey home well pleased with the whole Masonic experience, and looking forward to our May Lodge when we get the chance to entertain our Masonic friends at Flint.

As is our custom the Worshipful Master was delighted to present a cheque towards the Amenities Fund of the Home.
