Freemasonry in Flint, North Wales

• Ladies Evening 2007 •

The Holiday Inn, on the Westbound carriageway of the A55, was the venue for this years Ladies Evening. The Worshipful Master, Dave Roberts and his wife Lyn decided to hold the event there, in the comfort of the Vivaldi Suite, and the evening was extremely well attended despite the fall of snow several days earlier.

After the initial pleasantries, an excellent meal was served consisting of Leek & Potato Soup, Roast Lamb with seasonal vegetables followed by Strawberry and Cream on Shortbreads. Following the meal, Bro. John Bevan serenaded the ladies of the Principal Officers of the Lodge and presented them with baskets of flowers. He was accompanied by W.Bro. Ted Latham on a piano which had been specially transported there for the occassion.

Clearing of the tables was soon accomplished and after the customary speeches everyone settled down to being entertained by Paul Croft and his Music. The dancing was led by the Worshipful Master and Lyn who were soon joined by the Senior and Junior Wardens with their respective wives.
